African Penguin Balsa Ornament balsa-farm " or "wet-my-lipsThis is the only penguin species found in Africa. They think nothing of diving down 100 ft and can swim 12 miles per hour. They make a loud braying noise similar to a donkey and have the nickname "jackass penguin." Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand carved and then painted with non toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua.
