Inspired by the lichens growing on the fence posts on the path through the farm behind my home

Behold is a silver and resin necklace with a fabulously striking design that uses these really lovely amethyst coloured diamond shaped beads to create a starburst at the pendant centre

Made using handprinted papers and details added in white ink

This pendant is approx 18 mm long

The final stage is a rinse under a tap to halt the process and develop the image which turns this fabulous cobalt blue

The base comes from an ink painting and it is the inks that give it the intense, rich colours. The border to this pendant is made using lime green and blue seed beads which highlight the colours in the main design. The pendant is sealed using a deep layer of resin to protect the design.
