Made Birmingham, 1826, possibly by Thomas Simpson Jr. Measurements: Approx 29. 5mm long; 20mm wide. Weighs 13. 6grams. Rectangular vinaigrette with rounded corners. Strong, sturdy hinge along the back; thumbpiece on front; gap to accommodate finger to open grill on the side. Top of lid is beautifully engraved with a flowers and foliage around an oval reserve. Monogram G. D. within the reserve.
