For Spiders, Peter Porker really is just a 2/2 lord that makes a Food, but thats massively above rate compared to a lot of lords that various Typal decks get to use

Throw in Venser, the Sojourner or Momentary Blink, and you suddenly have a really weird one-sided Armageddon that can lock your opponent out of doing anything meaningful forever
