If you can take two thirds of the best uses for a card away along with half its overall utility and still have a playable card then it suggests a lot about the power of that card in the first place
It also inspired the Class subtype which first showed up in Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms , representing classes from Dungeons & Dragons
In the past week I've seen loads of complaints from Pokmon Pocket players about Solgaleo ex, with fans calling the giant metal lion overpowered, or pointing out how powercrept it is over similar 'mons from previous packs (such as Machamp ex)
For example, control decks have no problem digging through their decks, so having one-offs won't affect them as they will be able to get to their sideboard cards easily (and this is a big reason why control decks are often so good)
I don't currently have much experiance with either of these methods, but we are starting to dive into them, and will probably be debuting Spokcube two and three in the next year or so
To me, Pokemon today is at a similar level of complexity as to where Yu-Gi-Oh was at more than a decade ago
