But Teferi's Protection is his back then protecting his people (notice the phasing mechanic for example)
Whites pitch card was Scars of the Veteran, a Sacred Boon that didnt prevent the next three damage, it prevented the next seven damage to target creature, which meant that you could end up with a 0/4 Birds of Paradise or a 2/5 White Knight, if you prevented the damage from one Lightning Bolt or Incinerate
I had never really considered this card before, but it's a perfect fit for me
In the time since its last appearance, the overall power level of Magic has increased significantly, meaning Bob will now have to prove himself in a much fiercer environment
It makes it a decent cantrip by fixing the hand in the starting turns of the game, and later can be an enabler for combos in an Archlight Phoenix Jeskai deck or in an Esper Reanimator list
