Even if you can reach a strong board starting with Mo Ye, if you only have one copy, you need to search for it or have a sub-plan

Although this has mostly been seen in Sky Striker Trickstar, Mekk Knights can still be useful in the pure variant

If Hideous Taskmaster is countered or otherwise leaves the stack in response to that triggered ability, the triggered ability will still resolve as normal

Any Cube (or Commander) deck that wants one will want the other and will likely run both, though I expect Avenger to be around in cubes much longer than [card]Rampaging Baloths[/card]
