Three or more mana countermagic really isn't worth looking at if it isn't Cryptic Command
Lantern instead says "a little (universally useful) hate is enough." That being said, the fact that both are seeing heavy play in different archetypes tells you it is never about whether you need it or not, but how much the meta needs to slam down hard on it
This allows you to surprise your opponents with it if they ever try a one-sided removal spell or to make combat even more impactful
it only takes three constellation triggers to give Anikthea 32 power, one of which is achieved with it attacking, so you can take an opponent out from nowhere or just turn all your 3/3 menace creatures into far more formidable 6/6 menace creatures
I either looked up content on Scryfall, MTG wikis, Jisho.org, or just from my own game/Japanese language knowledge
Its the fastest of all mana rocks in the game
