Its a great self-contained game that keeps things relatively simple and easy to learn, and while Im sure there are bespoke LOTR games out there, Magic is such a tried and true game that Id have to recommend this starter kit above all others

I would suggest not waiting too long to pull the trigger on the Kanto since the prices are gradually just increasing even for the decent copies

I played the daylights out of this card when it was in Standard, and I still play it in every format just because it is so awesome
