I usually go with Bulbasaur and Friends because BULBASAUR, but I guess I don't really have an intelligent reason for choosing that deck

I can see this card being really good in decks like Affinity or Amulet, which often use colorless mana but also need specific colors to cast their core cards (like Emry or Arboreal Grazer )

A few of the designs at rare were things neither had done before, but the new ability was something that we felt either color could do

Sticking to two colors also makes it slightly easier to establish your land base and more reliably get cards out quickly
