They're inevitable, giving you a win once you outlast your opponents and that's exactly what Pillow Fort in Commander is designed to do
When the trigger resolves, its exiled and you cast it transformed for free as Serra Faithkeeper
Playing a commander that's just a one or two time mana generating cruise missile probably isn't for everyone, but I can see some merit for hyper aggressive strategies that want to set up fast and hard on turns 3-4 for a really stupid midgame power spike
Its just a case of how many, and therefore how high a price it commands
Players might initially pick tribes with high average mana values like Dragons or Angels or Sea Monsters (Krakens, Leviathans et al.), or pick commanders themselves that have a high mana value
Save it for your finishing turn, because showing your win condition too soon just gives everyone a chance to shut it down
