If you find that your creatures aren't big enough or your opponents can attack you back too easily, this card offers a potent effect
Similarly on turn twelve with 9 mana open and nothing else going on the Chronologist is a pretty serious top deck and although the Muldrifter is great here too it does rather depend on what you get with it as to how much it helps
For example, if you discover 4 and reveal Galvanic Giant (an adventurer card from Wilds of Eldraine with a mana value of 4), you could cast Galvanic Giant, but not Storm Reading (its Adventure, which has a mana value of 7)
Depending on the creature type you pick you might have a few lingering creatures on the battlefield, popular creature types like Elves and Humans will likely see a few hanging around, but the spell should be more than enough to empty the board
