Even if there weren't a bazillion different tricks you can do to make this card even better (fetchlands, Future Sight, etc), that would be pretty darn good on its own in this format

From my experience, it doesn't seem to be quite as popular nowadays, when you often can't take a turn off to play an expensive enchantment with a static effect, but the demand for this card never goes away despite reprint after reprint
