Swaine & Adeney Riding Whip with Silver Gilt "Holly" Handle - w1247 july26 It is in quite goodThe handle of this whip is shaped like a branch of hollyIt is made of silver but has been gilded. It is stamped "Swaine & Adeney, London". The hallmarks are too rubbed to read but the shapes of the stamps match those of the Edwardian period (1901 1910). The slightly flexible shaft or stock is covered in mahogany coloured braided leather. It ends in a small stitched keeper.
