Anne Hathaway's Cottage by William Wells Quatremain 19th century Presented on a silver foiledWatercolour by William Wells Quatremain, depicting Anne Hathaway's Cottage, signed and dated 1904. William Wells Quatremain (1857 1930) was a professional artist who lived and worked in Stratford upon Avon for all of his adult life, having moved to the town aged ten. He was a prolific painter of Shakespeare's home town and the Warwickshire landscape, and from 1907 regularly sold his work to postcard manufacturer, J. Salmon Ltd. He was also an art
