The card is mainly seeing play in Commander, alongside Terra, Magical Adept

It is great with Vedalken Shackles and Crused Scroll and basically any useful artifact that has a high ongoing mana consumption

You might begin to frustrate other fair decks by looping a Spore Frog or Cyclonic Rift, though, as it does the same thing as hard Stax: stops people playing the game
