The wildfire popularity of this expansion is set is no surprise, given the legion of Final Fantasy fans the world over, but one thing was readily apparent even in this brief session tinkering with just a few mid-level cards in the set: just seeing some these iconic characters in cardboard form amazingly is exciting enough along to warrant playing this expansion
UR Big Noncreatures As expected for Blue and Red , you want to cast noncreature spells to boost your creatures
Other new mechanics specific to this set, Tiered spells and Job Select, are also fun and well represent Final Fantasy, but from a Magic perspective, they are similar to previous existing mechanics
Battle at the Big Bridge (Fatal Push) Rating: 6/10 While it has no chance of killing big bomb rares, the simple fact that Fatal Push costs just 1 mana makes it extremely powerful
This deck improves on the strategy with Genie, Main Attraction, who can keep all opposing exerted characters exerted, not just one - and he can quest or challenge each turn, unlike King of Hearts, who has to exert to use his ability
