When a character has Shift, if you have another character of the same name, you can pay less ink to play the Shift card on top of it
In case you missed it, Final Fantasys Magic: The Gathering set was, as Ron Burgundy might put it, kind of a big deal
That does some wild stufffor example, it gets Marsh Flats back twice for actual land ramp in Orzhov, it lets you feed cards like Dusk Legion Zealot into a Warren Soultrader multiple times, or it wrings the most value possible from cards like Boromir, Warden of the Tower and Dauthi Voidwalker
As you get to later rounds, you have a few vanilla cards with big stats
Sail The Azurite Sea or Tipo Growing Son would be simpler, more proven ramp choices
Another heavy hitter in the set is going to be Prince Naveen, Ukulele Player, which has both a regular and enchanted version, which makes sense given that it gives you the potential for a free Song when you play him
