While its value has sunk to rock bottom and isn't likely to rebound, this art deserves so much more, and it will get a moment to shine soon
#33 Ended up digging out my rare cards binder, I got several copies of a lot of promos ( 1-29# ) we used to steal them at the toy r us leauge, a Bunch of badges, then I noticed my shining charizard, it's going for like 60$ easy on ebay
This final print run changed the copyright date to 1999-2000 to ensure copyright protections
Since the card's initial release, other cards with similar but weaker effects have been printed, such as Lotus Petal, which is functionally identical but provides one mana instead of three
So, in Champions of Kamigawa, Defender was keyworded
Instead of depicting a scene, the art looks more like what one might expect to see on a tapestry or wall painting depicting mythological figures
