This is what makes instant speed tutoring so powerful, and while both of these cards are generally considered combo pieces, discounting their intended purpose as tutors is a tremendous disservice when evaluating their power level
Both apply continuous advantages to the players who has them, both apply to one and only one player, and both have very narrow interaction with other cards, only ones that explicitly mention them
Hes also notable for being a great choice for a Dwarf Commander

Sven Stolz Back when Stoneforge Mystic was still banned and Modern was dominated by Arclight Phoenixes and Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis, I always thought a turn 3 Batterskull is not whats going to be good in Modern, so Stoneforge Mystic should be a safe unban
