Pauper Dredge plays a bit like a Reanimator deck at times, running the Exhume/Troll of Khazad-dm package you often see in such lists
Persian, Zorua, and Pecharunt ex are all really strong picks from that set, and Misdreavus and Banette from Ascended Heroes fit perfectly alongside them
It does give you a card when it dies
Only being able to tap a Frog for Blue or Green isn't much of a drawback, as this brew will be skewed quite heavily towards those two colors
