This isnt too surprising, as only the most enfranchised of players would really understand the sets purpose

The texturing makes gripping your cards and shuffling them a lot easier (which is important for fiddlier, smaller cards), and they're highly durable to take anything a vigorous game of Yu-Gi-Oh
