This is why Gird for Battle and Coordinated Assault are so good in the deck
It's alright in decks with tons of MTG planeswalkers, since you activate their loyalty abilities each turn without tapping anything or spending any mana, and it's good in an attraction deck led by Myra the Magnificent, for a similar reason

Because you have so much control over what youre discarding, theyre also useful for strategies that care about getting certain cards in the graveyard
Not only that, but equipment that can grant flying have historically been very powerful, even if theyre expensive to equip
Since we're a Vehicles deck and all vehicles are artifacts, it makes sense to take advantage of artifact synergies, which I deliberately steered the deck into: we're running all the artifact mana cost discounts from Foundry Inspector to Semblance Anvil, drawing cards off Canoptek Spyder and Sanwell, Avenger Ace, and protecting our board with Leonin Abunas and Bronze Guardian
