Ramp decks that have plenty of you can play an additional land each turn effects like to include lots of MDFC lands because its good in the early game when you need to ramp and okay in the late game when you dont need extra lands and need something to do with your mana
You might be looking for added challenge, or the chance to take on your opponents with far more powerful moves
