I kept a good amount of terrible ones in there for the flying theme, but cutting black, green, and red just feels smoother since a bulk of the equines in MTG are white
It was more focused on a theme, and usually restricted to one color, allowing the player who purchased it to get packs that had a greater number of cards that could go straight into their deck
Starter decks are relatively inexpensive considering their contents when they can be found at MSRP, making them a much easier way to start playing than building a deck purely out of booster packs or aftermarket singles
I don't care what method you use
Your deck is most likely going to be colorless, but that's far from a hindrance
