A card like Pili-Pala can make you untap, while Palladium Myr is the payoff for tapping and generating mana
I know that evaluating the printed toughness of the card is an incomplete picture, but Magic's keen on one-upping themselves as far as high toughness numbers go, and we see payoffs for the archetypes frequently enough
