2013 Domaine Bruno Clavelier Vosne-Roman̩e "Les Hauts-de-Beaux-Monts" they ferment plot by plotThe 2013 Vosne Romane Les Hauts de Beaux Monts, which comes from oolite bedrock with silt on top at the upper reaches of the incline, has a ripe, rounded bouquet with black cherries and blueberry fruit. The palate is medium bodied, soft and supple with nicely judged acidity and an easygoing blueberry and cassis finish that neatly carries the 30% new oak. Simple, but effective, especially for those that like a slightly glossier Vosne Romane. (NM)
