The harakeke has been boiled and dyed (brown) to preserve it and was saved from the off cuts of a kete. Mrie refers to a state of 'peace' or 'tranquility' much like the Taylor River which moves at a peaceful pace. This piece has been presented in a bamboo frame. Frame size: Height: 45 cmWidth: 35 cm
